Thousands upon thousands of people , most of them Chinese Americans, gathered in downtown Brooklyn Saturday afternoon to show support for Peter Liang, a former New York Police Department, convicted last week of second-degree manslaughter.

The rally was held at Cadman Plaza Park and was one of over 30 planned in cities throughout the country the same day in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston and many others. It is the first time that so many Chinese American are out to strive for justice, not only for Peter, but for all people, especially for Asian Americans.
